Legal: Our terms of sale and conditions

Please be aware that cement tile is a handmade product. Cement tiles will not be identical from piece to piece. Variations such as size, shade, imperfections, irregular edges and the appearance of fine cracks are inherent to this product and can vary from piece to piece. This adds to the natural appeal and does not compromise the performance of the tile.

Due to these qualities, there will be a variance in every item. All cement tiles may suffer color tone changes over time and with regular maintenance. To ensure the best color match, place orders for all quantities to complete the installation, including extras for damage, cuts and waste. We recommend 15% to be added to all measurements. Material should be mixed from different cartons during installation to provide a cohesive installation.

Sample tiles are representative of colors, but may vary from batch to batch. Tiles.design Corp is not responsible for the appearance or differences of samples provided by manufacturers or local suppliers/showrooms.


Samples are shipped via UPS or DHL, but all other orders(25 m2 mininum for most shapes) are are shipped via common carrier (LTL trucking companies). Tiles.design Corp offer shipping to over 77 countries but only based on a flatprice calculation(no Islands,Highlands,etc). In case your fees are higher, we need to add these additional shipping  charges to your order. In this case you are free to cancel your order. Commercial deliveries are to a commercial address with a loading dock or forklift. Businesses operating out of a residential address are not considered commercial deliveries. All residential deliveries are curbside on a pallet only. 

Order Lead Time

Special/custom order tiles typically take between 8-16 weeks to get them to you , but can take longer based on production schedules and times of year.

Payment Terms

A 100% non-refundable payment is required for all orders to begin production and must be paid after you received our order confimation within 48h. Once full payment is received we will start the production. Full payment is required in advance for all sample orders.

Order Cancellation Policy

Due to the fact that we do not stock designs and colors and all orders are made to order, we cannot accept order cancellations after production has begun. If we offered free shipping and we cant apply our standard rates to your adress you can cancel the order after we sent out order confirmation

Sales Tax

Sales tax can be waived with a valid resale certificate. Please contact sales@tiles.design

Damaged Material

All products leave our dock in good condition and are properly packed. All claims for damaged and broken material must be made through your carrier.

Customer is responsible for the inspection of all material when received. Pictures will be required to assist in any claim for damaged material. Please note any damage on the freight company Bill of Lading at the time of delivery. No claim for damage can be accepted if not noted at the time of delivery.

Please do not refuse the shipment! If you find damage, missing material, or incorrect quantities accept the shipment and note the issues in detail on the receipt with the driver. If damage is properly noted, we can begin the process of getting replacement material to you.

Someone must sign for and inspect the material. The correct quantity, correct material or any damage (see Damage below) should be noted before signing for the order. Do not allow the driver to leave without signing for the material. We must be notified immediately of any material shortage. All claims for shortage, incorrect product or damage must be made within 3 days and noted on bill of lading.

Order Return Policy

All material is considered special order. Tiles.design Corp does not accept returns on custom tiles. We encourage viewing samples prior to ordering. 

All claims regarding color, design, quality, or quantity must be resolved prior to installation. Any returns require a RMA number. Returns must be made in the original packaging and credited upon inspection in our warehouse. Freight is responsibility of customer. No claims will be accepted for any reason after installation.


Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to your purchase, or the relative rights of you and Tiles.design Corp, shall be settled by arbitration in the Detroit, Michigan, in accordance with the then-existing Michigan Arbitration Code. One arbitrator shall be mutually agreed upon by all parties to the arbitration. If all parties cannot agree on a single arbitrator, each party shall choose an arbitrator, who shall in turn select another individual to act as the arbitrator. This provision will be specifically enforceable. The decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding on the parties, and judgment upon the award rendered may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. The expenses of arbitration will be borne by the losing parties to the proceeding.

These Terms will be governed by the internal laws of the Michigan (without regard to conflict of laws or similar concepts).
